How to make air fryer green beans

To make this recipe, begin by trimming the ends of the green beans before air frying. I do this right before I cook them so they don’t dry out. Once trimmed, I give them a quick rinse in water, to make sure they are clean.  In a large bowl combine the beans with olive oil, salt and black pepper. Toss the ingredients together until they beans are coated. Next, transfer them to the air fryer basket, and then lay them in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary. (One pound green beans is usually two batches.) Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes, tossing one or two times during cooking, until they reach the desired crispness you prefer. Depending on your air fryer, cooking times may vary. Add 1-2 minutes if necessary.  Remove the beans with tongs, and add additional salt, parmesan cheese, or your favorite extra seasonings.

Do I have to coat them olive oil first?

No. I coat them so they don’t stick to the basket, and the seasonings will stick to the beans. You can use olive oil spray if you prefer.

Can I cook frozen green beans in the air fryer?

Yes. Although, unlike air fryer frozen French fries, I don’t feel they get the same crispy texture. They also don’t have the same green color as fresh green beans. You may need add additional 3-4 minutes cooking time if they are frozen.

How do I reheat green beans?

Just spray the basket with a little olive oil cooking spray, and cook for 4-5 minutes.

What can I serve green beans with?

I love having them with air fryer salmon, but they are also a healthy snack on there own.

How do I store green beans?

Store uncooked and unwashed green beans in a dry, airtight container, for about 5-7 days. If moisture get in, it can make the beans soggy, or mold.  MORE DELICIOUS AIR FRYER RECIPES:
